PhD student
I’m a PhD student investigating the animals of glacial environments. My background is predictive biogeography and besides compiling a list of animals found in supraglacial environments, I’m developing spatial models for the conservation prioritisation of glaciers based on biotic communities across European mountain regions. My wider research interests are linked to the ecology of animal response to climate and land-use/land-cover change and to ecological epidemiology. I’m developing numerous side-projects aiming at: developing an automated software to extract traits from scientific literature, understanding the research bias towards certain hosts in parasitological research, and predicting potential hosts for a zoonotic parasite of global concern.
