PhD student
I’m a PhD student at the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Milan. So far, my research focused mainly, but not only, on the factors affecting biodiversity patterns and on how anthropogenic activities change these patterns at multiple spatial scales over time. Specifically, I worked on different aspects of amphibian and reptile ecology, like population dynamics and phenology, analysing the impact of human disturbance (climate change, habitat loss and invasive species) through frequentist and Bayesian statistical models. I spent one year in Canada, at Université Laval, where I worked on the group behaviour of big mammals and the implication for conservation. I’m actually working on a project that aims at understanding how agricultural practices and policies impact agrobiodiversity, and how the latter can affect agricultural productivity, with a specific focus on birds.
